Originally I wanted to own a bakery and be a cake decorator by profession.
One day a friend of mine suggested I try and make small miniature cakes and sweets for my Ball Jointed Dolls, as I was building them a little house to live in. She introduced me to polymer and airdry clay, and then shortly after my mother bought me a Whipple set and I was introduced to decoden. I had already had experience baking and decorating cakes so learning that I could keep my art permanently in this form was so exciting!

As for the sewing and designing, I have always held a passion for Japanese fashion and various alternative fashion subcultures. My mother was very goth and had a love for Victorian style clothing, she taught me how to sew professionally at a young age as she was taught by her mother and grandmother and great grandmother. My mother fell instantly in love with Lolita fashion when I introduced her to it, and we have been designing and sewing pieces since 2006.

I decided to bring all of my knowledge together to form Neko Royale officially in 2013. It is the culmination of all my passions, knowledge, and experience. I hope that someday I'm able to create a full line of clothing to sell, and hold a fashion show! But for now, I'm happy making TikTok videos and selling at conventions so I can meet all of you lovely people!
